Basket of Pincushions

Just a few pincushions I decided I needed to make for gifts. These are made using 2-5" circles. Stuffed with polyester filling and embroidery floss used to divide the sections. I thought they needed something a little extra so I made yo-yo's to go under the buttons. If you are interested in making some of your own, visit Whipup for instructions.

Update on Chocolate Swap; I'm still waiting for my chocolates to arrive in the mail...boohoo My partner Annie received the goodies I sent to her. I hope mine from her will arrive soon...yum...yum.

Here's another pincushion using different fabrics.

  1. Oh man - is this the project for me . . . I have been working on those pennies and cutting out the centers from the middle and top layer to keep the bulk down in the finished piece. Now I have 90 circles of fabric in two different sizes just screaming for a place to land. Thanks for the link - off to make a new bookmark *s*

  13. Those look fabulous in the basket! I like the brown one, too. This is the kind I would have made for the pincushion swap, but I figured they were outlawed by the "no-pillow" rule. I just got a whole book on pincushions, and there are some darling ones in it to try!
