I've been working on this Kansas Troubles fabric quilt for the quilt shop sample. I picked this pattern simply because I've always wanted to try the ocean waves pattern and I thought this was the perfect fabric. With all those half square triangles on the bias, I would not recommend this pattern for a beginner. The border was something new for me as well, it was a new method I had never tried. Not sure I would do it again.
Other than working extra long days in the office (I won't go into the long boring details) I went to a quilt show in Victoria BC. I was meeting my aunt at the show and due to cell phone battery problems I couldn't reach her. It took us a while to finally meet up but all turned out well in the end. Here are a few pictures I took.
I especially love the displays they had set up with antique quilts, sewing machines and various sewing notions. It was very well done, I could have looked at these displays for hours.
Thanks for dropping by, I hope you come back again soon. Happy Stitching to you.
