The Christmas baking is done, my daughter and I baked all day. We have gingersnaps, coconut tarts, whipped shortbread, rum balls and vanilla/chocolate sugar cookies, I think that should be enough for the holiday treats. Like Karen said we are in that "get-r-dun" mode and "I will make it" this year feeling. When someones figures out how it all comes so fast.....let me know so I can slow it down. How about everyone else....are you feeling ready for the holidays?
Warm Winter Wishes to everyone.
Warm Winter Wishes to everyone.
Wendy, The quilt turned out beautiful!! My goodness tons of baking going on at your house! I think I just gained 5 pounds reading about it. I still am getting customer quilts out the door. Two more to go!
ReplyDeleteOh, this one is lovely. YOu did such a nice job, and the colors are really perfect!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is absolutely beautiful! I love the fabrics and the border.
ReplyDeleteOh Wendy....must admit that I think your little stitchery is by far the best I've seen in blogland so far...perhaps your fabric choices? Whatever...it is truly beautiful!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Christmas....sounds as though you are ahead of the festivities to me! (all that baking)
No..NOt at all finished... I am stitching ...crocheting... and sewing.. pheeewww..... ahhh.. time is running out for me... have to get some in the mail tomorow!!!! Glue is drying right now.. so ta little time to visit some blogs...lol... Hugs to you and I want to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Sewing Year... :o)))
ReplyDeleteLove your stitchery quilt - did you use cottons or flannels? The fabrics look delicious and rich! Your stitching is wonderful too!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays to you and your family!!
Beautiful finish! Finish being the key word! Now where did I put my finished squares???
ReplyDeleteLove your stitchery - it was fun to watch the blocks all through the year, too *s*
ReplyDeleteI cannot get over how quickly the season has passed. I've already cried 'Uncle' and there will be no cards sent this year. Gifts need to be wrapped as yet . . . maybe Santa could just bring everything as a surprise on Christmas morning.
I love the way you put your together. Maybe I'll do mine in a similar manner - whenever I get to it. My stitcheries are all finished, at least. Hee Hee! I did some of the candy canes too!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your quilt!! It is perfect with the striped border...so sweet! Can't stop to visit....yes, I'm in the Get-'er- done mode too! Take care!
ReplyDeletePaulette

ReplyDeleteI hate that 'the season' is on top of us already. Sigh! Wish you and yours a wonderful holiday season.
Your quilt looks wonderful. I was full of good intentions, but ... Please share your recipes. I want to come to your house for Christmas!
ReplyDeletetich
I started off with Gail's free patterns with good intentions...I have three done I think!!...but it is such a simple quilt and it looks stunning....well done....I love the flying snowman in your previous post - Over the past couple of years snowmen seem to have been multiplying in my Christmas decorations while they are packed away...I love them....and having them around is the closest I will come to a white Christmas where I live......I did a clean up/tidy up of my sewing room yesterday and made a pact with myself that I wasn't going to buy any more anything..LOLOL...that of course hasn't lasted....I will be off to find the flying snowman pattern! Gotta love the internet!
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas quilt is beautiful. I have all my blocks done but just hadn't decided on a setting. Your picture give me motivation to get mine done!! Great job!
ReplyDeleteOh that turned out so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteNo - I'm not feeling ready yet, lol. But it's getting closer. Your quilt is beautiful Wendy and pat yourself on the back for getting it done. I so wanted to make a few things this year for special people and it just didn't happen. The trick - start early, lol. I haven't mastered that one yet. My baking starts tomorrow I hope. I needed a mental health day on Saturday and I took it - helped to recharge the batteries.
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays sweet peep :)
Karen
