As promised I'm back with my new quilt to start the year. Occasionally scrap baskets can really surprise you, I made this quilt entirely from my stash including the setting triangles and borders. I'm hoping this will happen a little more often to clear out some space in my tiny little sewing room. This is from the book Scrap-Basket Surprises and the pattern is called "Kitchen Sink", all the pieces are the same size for the center. My hubby called these chubby little pinwheels...isn't that cute. It's a great book, I love how this quilt turned out.
What a nice surprise - it really came out great.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt. Doesn't it make it even more special since you made it entirely from the stash? I've had my eye on that book for a while too. I even had it in my hand my last trip to the quilt shop. I restrained myself then, but I'm not sure I'm going to be able to much longer.
