Surprises

As promised I'm back with my new quilt to start the year. Occasionally scrap baskets can really surprise you, I made this quilt entirely from my stash including the setting triangles and borders. I'm hoping this will happen a little more often to clear out some space in my tiny little sewing room. This is from the book Scrap-Basket Surprises and the pattern is called "Kitchen Sink", all the pieces are the same size for the center. My hubby called these chubby little pinwheels...isn't that cute. It's a great book, I love how this quilt turned out.

Happy Quilting.

  47. Beautiful quilt. Doesn't it make it even more special since you made it entirely from the stash? I've had my eye on that book for a while too. I even had it in my hand my last trip to the quilt shop. I restrained myself then, but I'm not sure I'm going to be able to much longer.
