Are we done shopping yet???......No....there are still
3 more shops to show you. Before I drive to Temecula Quilt Co. I needed a washroom break (I'm sure you all needed to know that), on the way there I found The Wool Lady, tiny little shop but very cute and full of wool and patterns. Sorry no pictures from the inside, well that's not completely true, blogger is difficult when it comes to pictures. Does anyone know how I can upload more than 4 pictures to blogger? It's cumbersome to get this many pictures in one post. Just wondering if there is another way I can upload pictures. I use Picasa and it will only allow 4 pictures to be uploaded. Sorry for the rant, lets get to the good stuff.
Next stop was Temecula Quilt Co, I just love this shop. Every quilt in the store is my kind of quilt. Her displays are wonderful and she has some unique ways of hanging quilts. It's a great shop if you are in the area.
So much eye candy everywhere you look.
This is my favourite quilt, it's on the someday list for sure.
The next stop was The Country Loft in San Diego. This shop was the next day when we decided to visit Sea World as well. The Country Loft is located in a adorable old house with lots of little rooms to peak around in.
Out in the back yard. There was a garden shed filled with antiques for sale. I wish I could post more pictures on this dang thing.
These pictures got out of order because of the cumbersome upload thingy. I don't usually post this many photos at once and I don't think I'll be doing it again. This shop is called Scraps and Stars. It wasn't on my planned list of shops but had a little time and found this located Corona.

Isn't this cute, written on the wall in the washroom, we are a Scrappy Bunch of quilters.
Look at this sink all decked out with a picket fence around it and I love the red mail box.
Well that's it for my LA shop hop. I was going to post some fall decorating today but thought I should finish off the shop tour. I had a blast and would love to visit all these shops again. I hope you enjoyed my little virtual tour as well.

Oh Wendy, I am truly overwhelmed that you did manage to visit two more of my favorites. I have been a customer of Country Loft for many many years. Love the gals there and you are right. So many little nooks and crannies. I have not visited Temecula Quilt Co. other than on the internet but am currently waiting for yet another order from them. Thank you so much for sharing all of your travels with us. Makes me want to pack up and hit the road southbound..
ReplyDeleteI've never been on a shop hop, but would sure like to after seeing your pictures! Actually, I kind of did my own shop hop on our trip to VA, PA, IN & IL. I would love to go to Temecula Quilt Shop some time. I read the article about it last year in Quilt Sampler (one of my favorite magazines). I will be telling about some of the shops on my trip in the near future.

ReplyDeleteLoved the virtual tour! I totally agree that uploading pictures is a pain, but what do we expect from a free site! I tried collages in Picasa to get more pictures in in less space. Planning a road trip soon. Any suggestions on other places to stop on our way from AZ.

ReplyDeleteI was just at all those shops about 3 weeks ago, they are fun aren't they? I'm thinking of making a quick trip down to Quilter's Coop on Saturday just for the heck of it. And hey, Stars and Scraps is about 10 minutes from my house, too bad I didn't know you were in my neck of the woods we could have met up there. It's not a bad little shop. Hey, maybe I'll go there on Saturday too!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great trip Wendy. Those stores are awesome. One thing I noticed about your photos when I click on them is that they are very large. Resize them before you upload them and they won't take so long.

ReplyDeleteI loved your virtual tour. I went to Country Loft, Temecula and Fat Quarters Quilt shop last fall and will return to all three again this year PLUS the other shop in Temecula. I am literally counting the days until I return. I had a ball shopping and paid a fortune to ship everything I bought back home. I went a little overboard at Country Loft because of the antique baskets and boxes. Oh my gosh, those shops are w-o-n-d-e-r-f-u-l.

Put them into a folder on your desktop and upload them directly from there. Blogger resizes them, stores them, and just tonight I was able to upload 25 pics at one time. Easy as pie.
