If you read my blog regularly you might remember this
Maple Leaf table runner I made a few weeks ago. I made the runner for a friend and in trade her husband made this wonderful garden stone for my garden....I'm so tickled to have it. The stone template is made from a large maple leaf. To give you an idea of the size, the stone is 2 feet across...it's ginormous...and it's heavy. I love how you can see all the leaf veins etched in concrete forever. I'd say I'm a pretty happy girl to have this addition to my garden.

Love the garden stone! The vein detail is amazing; I thought it was a photo of a real leaf until I read your post. You and your friends are lucky to have one another!
What variety of maple leaf is that? I've never seen one like that. Very cool!
Beautiful!
What a wonderful addition to your garden, Wendy. Love it!! Will I see you at TT on Tuesday? Would love that as well.
That is so beautiful. On Martha Stewarts program recently they had a segment on how to do that. You are one lucky girl.
That is from a real leaf?! Holy cow that's huge! How fun to see it in your garden.
I have a friend here in New Brunswick who makes these garden stones too. Aren't they great? I hesitate to correct you, but I think maybe yours is made from a Hosta leaf. It's certainly not a maple leaf... sorry...
Oh, I just love these leaf garden stones and this one is especially well done! A good trade for both of you. :-D
Beautiful!
We saw big leaves like this in Seoul, South Korea, all over the sidewalk. I'd never seen leaves that big anywhere else before! Nice. It could be an odd form of Maple, too "fat" for Hosta, at least those I've seen. It is wonderful, whatever tree inspired it!
It's a beauty and so big!
I just had to check out the story on this leaf. When I saw the little thumbnail photo on my blog list, I thought "That's a bloomin' huge leaf!"
It definitely looks like something that fell from a plant and gently landed upside down on the ground. Your garden stone is wonderful!
That is a gorgeous stone! Wow, they grown big leaves in your neck of the woods!!
That is really nice and love the idea of having those in the gardens.

That's so cool! When I saw the picture, I thought you had taken a picture of a real leaf lying on the ground!
so cool!
The stone is wonderful and how nice to have a special item in your garden.
That is a great stone Wendy. It looks real. Nice trade I'd say.
