More Decorating

Yesterday I did a bit more decorating and got the tree put up. I usually have more done by now but this year it's slow and steady. So here's the tree all lit up and full of decorations, a lot of them that I've made over the years. I also finished hand sewing the binding on the new tree skirt you see under the tree.
A couple of wool ornaments that are my favourites. I made these a few years ago.
Got to have a few cat ornaments.

This little mitten hanger is done in needle punch.
This morning I woke up to find several of the decorations scattered on the floor. Some of these were half way up the tree. A little better view of the tree skirt, this pattern was from Moda Bakeshop posted I think about June.
I have no clue how this guy gets into so much mischief. He chewed some of the garland way up on the tree and the tree was still standing, that's a neat trick.
Lula is always such a good girl. She sits and watches the mess Boo Boo makes but doesn't get involved. She's the good kitty.

Happy Quilting.

  1. Oh, that BooBoo does look like a mischief maker. I'll never forget finding on or our cats perched almost at the to of the tree one year.

  9. Your wool ornaments looks so cute!! I'm tempting to make one for myself :) Boo Boo may recognize his ornaments on the tree and just wanted to say hello? And your tree skirt is beautiful. I will have to check with Bakeshop later.

  12. Your ornaments and tree skirt are wonderful. I haven't made any from wool, but a long time ago I made some from felt, which I gave to my girl grandchildren last year after I decided it was just too much trouble to decorate for Xmas. Love the cats, and yes they can truly do amazing things without breaking anything, can't they?

  22. Well, in BooBoo's defense, I would say that a Christmas tree and its decorations really just looks like a giant cat toy. How can it be resisted?

  24. Thanks for the tree photo, I have no room for a tree and love to see what everyone else does with them. They are so wonderful, even with mischievious cats to go in and re arrange the placement of ornaments -- love the wool ornaments, too!

  28. I've never worked with wool, but those ornaments seem like nice, small projects to start with. Love the tree skirt. I have my own handmade tree skirt under the tree this year for the first time, and I love it!
