TA-DA......It's FINISHED.....I would say, definitely not a beginner quilt. It took me a bit of going back and forth figuring out how many blocks are in the border. I admire those that persisted and made the bigger version, mine is large enough for me, I think about 56 x 74.
Whew....it sure feels good to have this one completed. What's next? I'm sure there are lots of things waiting in my sewing room that I've forgot about.
Happy Quilting.
congrats on the finish!

ReplyDeleteJust beautiful! I love the colors that you chose too. I just finished quilting this quilt for a customer, but hers was much bigger and in shades of purple. Equally as beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt does look complicated; what a great finish. I especially like the border.
ReplyDeleteStunning!!! the border really sets of the blocks!!! Bravo
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! Nice work getting it completed. It will enjoyed for a long time.
ReplyDeleteI am doing the full sized version, it is going to be HUGE! Wish I had known, I would have only done half of it. I am still stringing mine, so congrats!!!
ReplyDeleteGood Job! I made this quilt too and know how much work went in to finishing it. You can give yourself a huge pat on the back.

It's just gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteI'd say the size you made is just right. Big enough to use, shows the design well, and manageable to get done.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I love the color of this one a lot - yummy! I see what you mean by it's not for the beginners though as I'm not good at those borders at all. They are very picky and tricky to me!!
ReplyDeleteIt is fantastic! That quilt looks great any size!!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty - love your spin on this pattern!

ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful!!!!!!!!!! Wow what a lot of work. So pretty Wendy.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations... even a smaller version of one of Quiltville's mystery is a big finish. It looks great!
ReplyDeleteIt's fabulous! Congratulations! I know it's a ton of work, because mine is still a UFO and I'm not even doing the alternate blocks!
ReplyDeleteIt's spectacular! Awesomely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finish !
ReplyDeleteI was googling RRCB trying to find smaller ones and I found yours. I'm one of the laggers and have done 24 of the string blocks. Unfortunately I don't like to do string blocks so I decided to make mine smaller. Yours looks great. I was thinking 12 string blocks in the quilt, but I think that yours has 8 and it looks good and sounds pretty big finished. It looks like 15 of the other blocks if I can see right. I think that your version will be just right for me. Thank you for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteGreat version of the quilt. Congratulations on getting it finished up.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great feeling it must be for you! It's gorgeous! I do love your fabrics! Thanks for sharing! Cheers!
