I've been working on my hand pieced LeMoyne stars. This has been sitting around my sewing room for a while.....a long while. I'd do a few stitches, put it down again and then forget about them. It was time to just get this one done.......finally all the stars are ready, it really didn't take long once I focused on it......I'm sure you've heard that one before. The pattern is by Carol Hopkins Designs called Sweet William. I'm almost finished the top, so it won't be long.
I don't know why I didn't work on these sooner, there is only 5 stars and the quilt is 22"x22".
Meanwhile another project around the house. I bought this chair about a year ago, my plan was to paint it and use it to display plants. Here is the before picture, washed and ready for paint. I think I paid $10 for the chair.
And this is the same chair after one can of RED spray paint. I have a piece of metal to be cut for the seat. The basket balances okay for now but I think it would be better to fill the seat in.I don't know why I didn't work on these sooner, there is only 5 stars and the quilt is 22"x22".

Love your chair. I had the same basic idea for my front (porch is to grand a word for the 5 x 3 square of concrete at my front door but I used a Lowes plastic chair. Somehow after looking at your lovely red chair beige plastic leaves something to be desired. i will have to be on the lookout for a good recyled piece. thanks for the idea.
