Dresden Top

 
Dresden Scrappy Plate top is now finished. I should have pressed it before taking these pictures but you get the idea. I'm happy with how this one turned out. It's definitely going to live at my house.
 
I have lots (well not a huge amount) of the blade fabric leftover. Don't know what will be made with it just yet, maybe sit in my stash for a little while.

    Wendy I love your Dresden and you have inspired me. What timing, I just, today, finished cutting the strips to cut the blades for this exact quilt. Love your colors!

    When I put together Dresden plate blocks, I had lots of blades left over. Your blocks have a happy scrappy look.

    Love the quilt especially the apple green and tomato red AND the skinny white border - it really makes the blocks pop!!

    Oh I am so in love with this quilt! I love everything about it. Wonderful fabrics. The sashing and borders are the perfect finish. You have inspired me to dive into my stash of Kaffe Cassette fabrics and see if I can make one like this. Thanks for the inspiration.

    Your Dresden Plate is lovely. I'm still working on mine. I have sewn all of the blades, but need to sew them together in plates. I will love doing the applique. It's so relaxing.

    This is a real beauty, Wendy. Love the red fabric border. There's no way I'd be able to give this one away. Perhaps you should try a Granny Square quilt with your leftover fabric.
