I bought this little round table at the antique show a couple months ago, it was brown and ugly. I'm sorry I don't have a before picture, you'll just have to take my word.....it was ugly. I painted it with chalk paint, distressed and waxed the table. This was my first time trying this, I might have done too much distressing but I'm still pleased with how it turned out.
I found these Bistro chairs at the Vintage Market a couple of weeks ago. I took a chance and hoped they would work with the little round table. I think it worked out great, I couldn't have planned it. I also picked up the old suite case and rusty colanders at the Vintage Market. I have this little grouping on my front porch.
This picture was just too cute not to show you. Boo finds the most interesting places to curl up.

ReplyDeleteEverything was simply meant to work together. It looks adorable.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely vintage finds! I've heard of chalk paint and milk paint for years, but haven't tried either. Did you find you still needed to prime, and did the chalk paint cover better than other types?
ReplyDeleteThat table and those two bistro chairs are just so sweet!
Love what you have done with the table and the chairs a perfect with it. What a great time you had with all your purchases
ReplyDeleteI purchased a small table in CA when we still lived there..garage sale find. Someone spent a lot of time painting it white and then distressing it. Vintage suitcases are also fun to collect! Mine are sitting under one of my guest room beds hiding fabric! LOL

ReplyDeleteI love vintage things and can't resist estate and garage sales! Boo is so cute!
ReplyDeleteI think you distressed your table just right and those chairs are perfect! I've been experimenting with chalk paint, too. I may have found another addiction!
ReplyDeleteI had to smile at your cat picture and then looked up to see our black and white (Stubby) lying on the porch railing which is not as wide as she is. Lots of cat coming off both sides.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute table but not as cute as Boo.
ReplyDeleteI am about to try my hand at chalk painting and distressing. Yours looks great.
