I did a little hand applique this past weekend and finished my Cheryl Wall quilt. I must say I didn't enjoy the pointy stars, I just struggled with getting those points. It's done and I'm happy with how it turned out.
The remainder of the weekend was spending time here. We did a long walk on the beach at low tide and were surprised on the way back how fast the tide comes in. It was a very relaxing weekend filled with sun, sand a little stitching.
Happy Quilting!
Your quilt looks wonderful! And I'd give about anything for a walk on the beach! It looks like a lovely place to visit! :0)
ReplyDeleteLove this quilt, Wendy. Getting the points on those stars can be a problem, but yours look great. The black background sure makes everything pop. My son and his family are coming over from Vancouver and a day at the beach is on the to-do list.
ReplyDeleteThat beach walk really appeals to someone in the land locked midwest... how relaxing! LOVE your quilt! Is the background black or a dark blue? Either way, it makes the blocks and applique just pop!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful view...love the black sashing used in your wonderful appliqued quilt...well done!!!
