Welcome Autumn

The last day of summer I was wearing my shorts and sandals and the first day of fall came the rain and cold. Thankfully the sun has been coming out each day since. I love the cooler days and the leaves changing colours. It's my favourite time of year.

I finished piecing my spools quilt, I started this last spring. It's nice to have this one off my list and ready for quilting.
I'm still working on the Le Jardin blocks, this is the third block. Don't know if you can see I still have a few more leaves to sew down.
This is the beach on the first day of fall, we had a break in the rain and decided to get out for a little walk. It was so windy that day we couldn't stay for long.

Happy Quilting.

  10. I love the spools!!! The majority of spool quilts are usually solid or tonal fabrics for the thread. I really like how you used complimentary fabric so that it's mostly one color with a few additional colors that pop!!! Great job!

  11. Cute little spool quilt, Wendy. And that Le Jardin block is gorgeous. Can't believe it's fall already. Haven't been to the beach all summer. The sun is shinning here today and it's not too windy, so might be a good time to go.

  12. Another gorgeous Le Jardin block and I love the spools quilt. We have had some very strong winds and heavy rain here this Spring but we have also had some beautiful sunny days. Keep warm there with a quilt on your lap and stitching.
