In between all the hectic organizing for Christmas, I finished this block. I think this is number 5. I'm still enjoying the back basting method of applique.
We went this week to the out door Vancouver Christmas Market. It's based on the markets in Germany with little wooden huts selling food and other gift items. Some of the wooden ornaments are hand made and hand painted. We didn't buy any as they were pretty pricey. We did have sausage and Hot Spiced Wine with rum.......yum so good and it kept us warm for the night of shopping.
If you want to see more pictures of my sewing and other things, I've started using Instagram, follow the link here or you can always find the link on my side bar.
That is a very pretty appliqued block. Where did you find the time to do it this time of year? I am still frantically stitching Christmas things.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely block. Love appliqué.
ReplyDeleteLovely block Wendy. I think we all need the peace of a little stitching in the busy lead up to Christmas.
ReplyDeleteLove #5. I don't think I will get a block done this month...too many last minute gifts to finish.
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful block, Wendy. I'm really regretting not participating in this BOM. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh Wow! Your block is just gorgeous!!! Love it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful block Wendy! And what a fun way to spend a little time. I love those little holiday fairs! Merry Christmas!!
ReplyDeleteNo holiday fairs for me this year but fun to pop in on blogs to see what others are up to. Enjoyed my visit.
ReplyDeleteI love the Le Jardin quilt, and your block looks really good. Can't wait to see them all together. What is the back basting method you mentioned? I've never heard that term before.
ReplyDeleteSuperb article that gave me real tracks for my items to me. I will test starting next article. To say I even put the page in Favorites.
ReplyDeleteThank you
