This isn't a secret project but one that I started a few years ago. I've brought out the
Wish quilt AGAIN!. Maybe I can finally get it finished. This stitched block isn't officially part of the
Wish quilt but it will be part of my version. The Wish Quilt is a
free pattern from
Red Brolly.
I made this into a 6" star block, I changed the stitchery in this block.
This little wallhanging is the first of two secret projects. I've given this to my Secret Sister, I should make a second one for me. Soon I can reveal the other project.

I love what you have done with that stitchery and the runner is so lovely. Have you hand quilted it? The colours are great too. Beautiful work.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful work! I recently bought some stitchery patterns but haven't had a chance to even start them yet. Do you put anything behind your top fabric when doing your stitchery work to keep the threads from showing though? Just curious...

Hi Wendy, how tall are the letters that you are embroidering? I need to do some for a project and it didn't come with any letters so I made up my own but I think I made them too small. Just need the height. Thanks so much!!
ReplyDeleteLove your version of that block. I completed all the large blocks a long time ago but still need to make all the checkerboard sashings etc. May change them though. Love your wallhanging, particularly the colourways. Gorgeous!
