Pinwheel Blocks
Let's see....where can I sleep and be in the most inconvenient place. This is Jenny, she likes to be the centre of attention. She also has a need to be in the same room as me....follows me around the house. And, When I lay out my blocks on the floor, Jenny thinks this must be play time, she'll mess up my blocks and try to get under them. Needless to say sometimes getting any sewing done can be a challenge for me, as this cat is always looking for attention. She's 15 years old and doesn't always look so cute, if she's not sleeping where I want to work, then she is pawing at me to give her attention.
So here it is.... my pinwheel quilt, I must say the blocks are really quick to make, I did 36 in a couple of days. I don't know how Darlene did her quilt, but the sashing wasn't so easy for me. I seem to have been out to lunch, I picked out seams a few times before I got it all together, it was a puzzle to figure out. So this is one top done, I have enough blocks for one more.
Wish me luck!
That's a beautiful quilt. Sashing challenges me also but it's worth the effort. Great job.
ReplyDeleteWendy, the quilt looks great!
ReplyDeleteOMG - that's gorgeous! I'm going to have to make one for myself - I have the fabric .... now just need some time.
ReplyDeleteGreat job and how nice that you have enough blocks for a second one.
How big is the one you're working on? How big are the blocks?
That is sooooo pretty, just love it. I become math challenged when it comes to setting triangles.
ReplyDeleteIt is cute! You did a great job!
ReplyDeleteGreat quilt!! Don't you just love it. Mine was gonna be King size but I cut it short. I love it though.
ReplyDeletegreat quilt....have to have a go at those blocks they look so good....love the quilt in your previous post to.....
ReplyDeleteWendy your quilt looks beauatiful.
ReplyDeleteThat is gorgeous! I just love it! Hum... so what do you plan on doing with the spare blocks? Gosh, I love it! Great colours! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is so cute...sashing makes me nuts...but it's worth the work. That one is on my list...love it. Your cat is a hoot...glad my dogs can't get on the ironing board.
ReplyDeleteJenny looks great on your ironing board - right in the middle of where you want to be. Typical! LOL
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love your quilt. The red print in the center is perfect. This is a quilt that I could make again and again. HMMM, need to get back to the one in darker colors. Soon!!!
LOL, Jenny is just keeping the ironing board warm for mom!
ReplyDeleteThe pinwheels look great!! I love them on point!
LOL at Jenny; my cats have slept in some strange places, but never on my ironing board.
ReplyDeleteThe quilt looks very girly to me. I think it’s the colours. The sashing really adds to the quilt. Love it.
What a cute kitty....My Rico (big black furball kitty) loves to be right in the middle of whatever I happen to be doing. I really need to buy stock in Lint Rollers as I am constantly using them to pick up his stray hair on the ironing board and the cutting board. The Swiffer dusters have become a necessity at the long arm as he loves that table as well and he leaves behind little black hairs wherever he goes...LOL
ReplyDeleteI love the Pinwheel quilt....I keep saying to myself, no you don't need another project....LOL....Wonder how long I'll be able to keep myself believing that...
Great job!
Your quilts are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe cat looks very comfortable, but how do you do the ironing? The pinwheel quilt is lovely, such nice clean colours. You are such a fast worker.
ReplyDeleteWendy, how pretty! Such a cheerful quilt. The colors make me think of summertime sherbets and popsicles.
ReplyDeleteLindah
Wow - it really turned out great. Love the pattern!
ReplyDeleteDogs are the same - as soon as you lay something on the floor they think it is a special bed for them to sleep on - LOL
Kitty looks quite comfy - how could you possibly disturb her *s* Love the quilt - so fresh and clean.
ReplyDeleteThat picture of Jenny made me smile, thanks. The blocks are lovely.
ReplyDeleteWendy, this is a super quilt. I just love all the soft colors. You've had all sorts of goodies to show us lately. You do such quick work!
ReplyDeleteThe cat thing is the same with my cat. He is were I am and always laying on stuff I want to read or work with. Lovely blog Wendy!
