Very little has been going on with me, mostly feeling tired and not much sewing. I've stitched a little with redwork and Gail's new BOM, which is turning out to be a sweet stitchery, I can't wait until the next months block comes out. The redwork cats is something that's been on my list for a long time....finally got them stitched.
We haven't had any new snow for a couple of weeks but the ground is still covered in the white stuff even with having a bit of rain. We've had the strangest weather, the last week has been the thickest fog all day long, a person could only see about a half block away and it stayed that way all day long....I hope the sun will be out today or I might start feeling that sadness one gets without the sun or maybe that's why I've been feeling so tired, whatever it is I sure hope it passes soon.
I hope you've had time for needle and thread, thanks for stopping by.
Not much stitchin going on here - but I hope to get to it this week.
ReplyDeleteI love yours! Lots of snow here today. I am glad my SUV sits high - you can hardly see around corners now!!
Mmmm, very pretty stitchery, Wendy. I have been sewing, staying busy, trying not to think about the bitter cold weather. Really, this is my time to sew and quilt, so it's all good until I need to head out of the garage. Yikes!
ReplyDeleteOh I love the stitcheries! Especially the tea dyed look ones! Hope when our blocks start showing up you cheer up - it is the weather. I was kind of out of it, but now that we have sun i'm feeling much chipper!
ReplyDeleteVery nice!! I love the snowflake background for the BOM stitchery. Do you know what line it's from?
ReplyDeleteThanks for any help!
Christine
Love your stitcheries...
ReplyDeleteAnd not nice weather you are having...hope the sun will show soon!!
Hope it will get you to feel a little bit better!!
Love your little redwork cats pictures, especially the one with the girl!
ReplyDeleteYucky winter weather makes it hard to do any stitching. I make myself just go to my sewing room and tidy up (which it always seems to need) and next thing you know an hour or more has gone by and I've been productive.
ReplyDeleteLove your stitcheries, they are adorable!
CA-uuuuuuuuuuuute!!!! Love those!!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the little cat stitcheries. So darn cute. Hang in there....spring is right around the corner. My DD is very affected by dreary weather so I understand where you're coming from.
ReplyDeleteI really do not like that feeling one experiences when the sun does not shine. Hope yours shines soon.
ReplyDeleteLook at those cute cats...I love the background of you Gail Pan block.
ReplyDeleteAll too cute!! Your work is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYour stitcheries are terrific. I have downloaded Gail's BOM, but not yet started. The cat stitcheries are wonderful. We just got 6 inches of snow today, I would be glad to send you some, I have had enough already.
ReplyDeleteOh so cute! Love everything, as usual. Hang in there you'll see the sun soon. We see way too much of the sun.
ReplyDeleteI too have felt quite weary lately and sometimes when I think of picking up my quilting...well, the energy just isn't there...which is really disappointing since I'm in the middle of hand stitching two, one for each grandaughter and I just bought material to get going on one for a friend who is marrying in June! sigh....
ReplyDeleteThe stitcheries look wonderful - I particularly like the background you used for Gail's block.
ReplyDeleteI'm still trying to catch up on last year's Capricorn Quilts stitcheries, trying to not get behind on Ellie's Calendar blocks, and just starting Lynn's Noah's Ark!
Gail's are going into a folder on the hard drive for when... uh... I don't have anything else that needs to be done! LOL!

Your doing beautiful stitcheries even though not feeling the brightest! Do you know, I really believe weather affects us more than we realize! We have quite a short summer here in Perth and I said to DH last night'this doesn't seem right for Perth to be hot'. He wholeheartedly agreed - I can't wait for the cooler weather - the heat is making me lethargic! It will all pass, so chin up!

The cats are adorable! You always come up with the cutest patterns. I've not gotten much sewing done, but I finished my sewing room and now I'm ready to rock-n-roll.
ReplyDeleteOh I hope you feel better soon Wendy. Hubby suffers from SAD and it's awful this time of year for him not being able to sit on the balcony in the sun. if you don't feel better soon, have you doc check you thyroid level. That's what gives you the juice to move every day! Feel better!
ReplyDeleteHi Wendy, hope you are feeling brighter soon.I find the weather depressing if the sun is not shining.Love your Stitchery's Regards Lyn
ReplyDeleteHope you get some sun and feel better soon. I LOVE your cat stitcheries. Would you mind telling me the name of the pattern and the designer?
ReplyDeleteYour BOM looks good too. I enjoyed stitching mine.
Christine
I love your blocks! You are such a great stitcher Wendy :o) Love your taste!
ReplyDeleteYour handwork is wonderful!! Hope you get some sun to perk you up.
ReplyDeleteHow cute are they?? I love the stitchery blocks Wendy. I think I have those patterns somewhere. LOL Yes I said somewhere.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel brighter soon! At least the days are getting longer and soon there will be spring and summer to look forward to.
ReplyDeleteLovely stitching!
Sending some warm sunny wishes your way. We here are excited about possibly getting 2 inches of snow tommorrow! That's a big deal for us. But then it must all go away quickly. I keep thinking about 6 weeks and it will be spring. Your stitching is cute - love the cats.
ReplyDeleteLove the cat stitchery and so many wonderful free stichery BOM's to make.
ReplyDeleteCute stitcheries. Hope the sun comes out soon and breathes it's life into you. It can be hard when the sun goes into hiding.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely blocks! I've been debabing about BOMs! I still want to stich out those Polka dot ladies! So many things I want to make - so many UFOs! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteWendy,
ReplyDeleteYour cat blocks are adorable as usual.........Lack of sun causes winter duldrums.I have depression problems,so I know how you feel.Keep on stitching and get alot of naps,it helps.
Such darling blocks you are working on *S*
ReplyDeleteWe are having unusual weather, too. I think that it should be going back to a more normal pattern in the next couple of days . . . . I hope it does the same for you.
Cheer up Wendy, you sound very glum! Do something special for just you!! I love your red-work cats, they are so cute!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Days, Cathyx
Those cat stitcheries are adorable! I hope you get some sunshine soon...wish I could send you some :)
ReplyDeleteHi Wendy,
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself. Love the cat stitchery. Please tell us who the pattern designer is. Mary
Hi Wendy - I understand that feeling - for me it's feeling down in the dumps and January always seems to bring it to me and I've got them right now also. Our weather has been so strange as well - and it's been a loooong winter so far - that sure doesn't help. Hope your feeling up to snuff real soon. Your stitcheries are darling - so cute.
ReplyDeleteHugs - Karen
The redwork blocks are so cute. I love your background fabric on your "love" stitchery. Hopefully the sunshine will make you feel better.
ReplyDeleteLove the redwork cats, Wendy. Whose pattern is that? I too am intrigued by both BOMs you have pictured but haven't started either yet. We are also having fog here in WA, so it must cover a pretty big area....very tiresome but better than snow in my book, that's for sure!
ReplyDeleteI just love the redwork cats. Funny, I own dogs. HA HA! Can you tell me where you got the patterns?
ReplyDeleteI just love your stitcheries. They are just so cute. Brr cold here too & they are calling for snow & ice for us by Monday! Glad I have lots of quilty things to keep me busy. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteAdorable stitcheries...makes me inspired to get going on some of mine.
ReplyDeleteI love those redwork cat stitcheries! They are just so cute!
ReplyDeleteI have loved these cat stitcheries since you first posted them. Anyone who lives with cats would really appreciate them. Who is the designer? Thanks!
