Where has the week gone...we spent the weekend at the lake relaxing. There wasn't much to do since it rained most of the time. We got out for a couple of walks and saw the hummingbirds, a few bunnies and even a weasel sitting in the grass. One feeder had over a dozen birds flying around the feeder, it sure was cool to see that many hummingbirds in one place. I did some cutting for this quilt, the way the windmills are done requires squaring up of each block. This quilt I had 192 blocks to square. Once that is done the quilt goes together quickly. I just put the borders on yesterday....It's done and I love how very bright and cheery it will be for a summer quilt.
Here is a close up of one block and cherry border fabric.
Happy Stitching!

ReplyDeleteLove your quilt and I love pink too.
ReplyDeleteI just saw some hummingbirds this morning on our feeder for the first time this spring. The most I have seen is four on our feeders. That would be neat to see that many at one time.
This is gorgeous!! I love the fabrics you used for this.
ReplyDeleteIt is awesome.
ReplyDeleteThat is one happy quilt. I love it!!! It says SUMMER.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute quilt!
ReplyDeleteSometimes the best vacations are when you can sit around and do nothing, aren't they? I usually like darker, muddier fabrics but those pinks look like they could brighten any day no matter what the weather!
ReplyDeletecute, cute, cute! I was thinking this would make a good swap block sometime. Only smaller size blocks I think.
ReplyDeleteOMG!!!! How in the heck did I miss this posting last week?!!! I'm always so good at checking in on you too! I'm sorry!!!
ReplyDeleteCan I have it? LOL I'm sure your not laughing! OK....I think it is fantastic for in my quilt studio! It is so flippin' cheerful!!
As for your naps....I hear ya...loud and clear. I had my hormones checked and the family doctor says I'm normal....hmmm. After watching Oprah today I'm just not so sure. I've been to the doctor with several of the complaints I heard and really think I need "balancing" LOL
Your quilt is absolutely adorable! I love the pinwheel (whirlygig) pattern! Really cute fabric too!
