Quilt Bricks

IT'S DONE!!! I had a lot of fun making this quilt and I was amazed at how fast these blocks are to make, it gave me that much needed boost and I'm feeling much better. I used 4 charm packs and some yardage for the black and border. I didn't do the border the same way the pattern instructed, I wasn't keen on doing the piano key border, so instead I put a floral border on this quilt.

Happy Stitching and I hope you have a wonderful day.

I'd love to answer all your questions but I can't if I have no way to reply back. I'm not ignoring you...I promise...you need to change your settings to allow a reply.

I have the same problem. People ask questions that I can't answer. Love the quilt! Hope your weather is getting better. Warmth and sunshine always help!

Wow I think the floral border works great. Not as busy as a piano key. It make the center the star and pops it right out there...fun and bright for summer! Just lovely!

Wendy, I love the look of this quilt and have some fabric where this would work perfect. Do you have the size you cut the square and the size of the sashing?

What a great quilt! Love the look of it. Do you just slice the charm square in half to get the rectangle of colored fabric? Love how you sashed it in black, really makes the colors pop. What did the finished size for the quilt end up being? I just clicked on the picture to see it up close. Great fabrics!

Great looking quilt. I am amazed that it goes up easily as it appears very complicated.

Gorgeous Wendy! I love the black, it really makes the bricks pop. I never thought of using scraps. Ann has a great idea there.

What a nice quilt for charm packs, you said it was easy, it looks complicated, love that about some patterns. The black really sets off each piece of fabric.
Enjoy!

It doesn't look like an easy pattern and very pretty. I like that floral border over piano keys for this quilt. The quilt just sparkles with color! I'm really liking these colors you've been using lately. Spring time does weird things. Do you think by end of August we'll retreat back to more muted earth tones?

Very nice, Wendy - I think the piano border would have been too busy - the floral is perfect! Do you mind saying what pattern you used?
Cheers!

this is a beautiful quilt. A few years ago my DIL wanted me to do one like that and I got the fabric and cut it. Just before i started sewing it together she called and asked if I could do a jeans quilt instead. The pieces have been used in other quilts but seeing yours I think I would like to try again.

Woe,I love your brick quilt. And I was never a fan of a piano keys border, so I think the floral border is perfect. Now you said this was finished. Is it quilted too?

Gorgeous. The black makes each fabric stand on it's own. How big of a quilt does 4 charm packs make?

This is such a fresh and vibrant quilt. I love the black and usually it is one of my least favourite colours.
