A few plants blooming right now. The bleeding hearts do really well in the shade.
White bleeding hearts, they look so pretty right now. Oh look you can see some of the planted bricks in the background.
I don't know what this little guy is called but I really love how it looks in the planter.

Pretty, pretty post! I'm talking both stitchery and flowers!
ReplyDeleteMy bleeding hearts haven't even sprouted yet. I hope they still come up. Mine are white but I love your pink one.
ReplyDeleteYour stitchery is so cheerful! I can't wait for spring to really be here.

So pretty. Your stitchery is lovely - what perfect stitching you do. Will it be part of something bigger? I have to work on getting my stitches even as you do in your work. Lovely flowers too. Bleeding heart and the pink flowers - so dainty.
ReplyDeleteWendy...I love your stitchery! I just love stitcheries with flowers. I also love the flowers in your garden. I am in the Seattle area and we are having so much rain that there is not much time when I'm home and the weather is nice. Can't wait to "spiffy" up my flower gardens!
ReplyDeleteI have always loved bleeding hearts. The small pink flowered plant is lovely as well.
ReplyDeleteYour post took my breath away today - stunning!!!!
ReplyDeleteYour bleeding hearts are up already, wow! I can't believe it, mine are not. I just love them, but they won't be up and blooming for a few weeks yet! Love the stitchery.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful basket embroidery and beautiful bleeding hearts! It gets waaaayy too hot here for bleeding hearts (South Texas). So I'm quite jealous!
ReplyDeleteNothing seems to be blooming around here. My Magnolia did but it was a short blooming season. Love the bleeding hearts. Your garden must be so pretty.
ReplyDeleteLove your white Bleeding Heart.. that one I must try and find here..:o)
ReplyDeleteLove the stichery... May I ask what pattern??
Enjoy your days!!
Cute stitchery....how can you not love a basket full of roses. :)
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are gorgeous....I just love bleeding hearts. They are so amazing to me.
The stitchery is sweet and the flowers are beautiful. I've never seen a white bleeding hearts but I have grown the pink one.
ReplyDeleteSooooo much eye candy! I love it all!
ReplyDeleteMy white bleeding heart near the house is in bloom as well and my red one which is situated at the back of the garden just broke ground. I guess it had to do with the difference in the soil temperature.
Planting bricks! I love it! I can't wait to plant my containers but in these parts, we 'should' wait til at least the third weekend in May because of the possibility of night time frost.
Don't know what the little pinks are, either, but they are pretty! Tell hubby that I planted bricks last year. It makes the garden look so nice.
ReplyDeleteI love how bleeding hearts look, so frail and lovely! I always like your stitchery Wendy, you do such a lovely job!
ReplyDeleteThe little guy in the pot is a Saxifraga.
ReplyDeleteHi Wendy,
ReplyDeleteYour hand stitching is beautiful. I love the basket of flowers. And your garden is so lovely too. I've been working in my yard as well. We lost several plants from the winter weather, so a couple of weekends ago we started cleaning up and digging up dead plants. We finally have it done and I love the new look. It spacious and organized.
What a beautiful flower basket! So appropriate for this lovely time of year.
ReplyDeleteWe have some brick edging in our garden as well. It's a good way of using old bricks and looks very decorative.
The pink rock plant is a saxifrage. It also comes in white and a darker pink.
Such a cute stitchery, Wendy! The bleeding hearts are outstanding - some of my favorites! I used to know the name of the little pink flowered plant - when it comes back to me I'll let you know!
ReplyDeleteCheers!

Your garden is much farther along then mine. My tulips are only just opening!
My neighbors have lovely bleeding hearts and mine is spindly after three years. Your post spurred me to move it to another location. Perhaps next year it will be happier!

ReplyDeleteOh how pretty Wendy. I love your little block and those flowers....beautiful!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love gardening and sewing too. It's great to have the 2 to go to between the weather. My problem is sometimes chosing which one to do.
ReplyDeleteYour basket is so pretty, and I love the bleeding hearts! I used to have them also, but no gardens where I live now. :(
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed looking at your blog. You do beautiful work - and what lovely pictures of your flowers. My gardening is container style now, but I used to have lots and lots of plants to tend. Looking forward to doing my pots but it is a little too early yet here.
