Scrappy Blocks

Has it been a week already. Work has tired me out and not much sewing going on, I haven't even touched my stitchery....the next couple of days are quiet so I hope I get some energy back. I did do some (very little) sewing before work, got these blocks finished.  It's taken me a long time (months) to finally settle on this layout, I like how it's starting to come together, there are 35 of these blocks. I hope to have a completed top.....soon.....wish me luck.

Happy Quilting and don't forget today is "shop your local quilt store day".

  1. I like the blocks you are working on. The colors for sure and the light squares running through the blocks. I have made similar style blocks and it is surprising how long they take to sew.

  5. I like the look of those blocks Wendy, and the layout is great. Hope you get a chance to get a few more done soon. Will look forward to seeing the completed quilt. Would love to shop my local quilt shop, but unfortunately, I don't have one nearby, so it's shop online or nothing.

  6. Our community quilt shop did not participate in "Shop your local quilt store" yesterday but I've planned a trip today anyway to sign up for the block a month offer. Looking forward to becoming a more intentional quilter this year!

Love your new blocks. Great colors!

  10. I admire people that can make something that Beautiful...I am not a patient person and hard for me to even make a raggy quilt....guess that is why I enjoy making pet beds :)
What are you going to do with it when you are finished?
