Home from Retreat

Back home after my 3 day retreat. My quilt group has this retreat every year at this retreat center about 45 minutes from my home. The accommodations are comfortable and the food is always great. We get spoiled with how fantastic the meals are at this place, dessert after lunch and dinner.

I always have big plans to finish something but that never happens. This is the progress I made on my Swoon quilt. I'm loving how the reproduction fabrics look.
The Spools quilt is partially done, I have all the center part of the spools completed, just need to add the top and bottom.
We each made 6 pinwheel blocks, this isn't all of them. The blocks kept falling off the wall, there is double what you see here. We drew a name to win them ALL and the person that won asked my daughter if she wanted them. Wasn't that nice to give them to a VERY keen new quilter.
This was the only project I finished at the retreat, I did a little hand quilting on this one.
No he didn't come with me on the retreat, this picture is "just because".

Happy Quilting!

Of the bobbin is superb! Really!
The cat reminds me of mine but she left us a few weeks ago.
Still I'm happy because she was happy. This is important!

  9. Good to see you had fun on your retreat. They are always good value when you get fed so well and don't need to worry about preparing meals. I have one coming up next month and another in October. Love your Swoon quilt and the cute little bird project. Ofcourse, your cat is gorgeous. Just like my daughter's cat infact.
