Thank You and I Won!!!

I'd really like to send everyone a huge "Thank you" and "Big Hugs" for all your kind and encouraging comments about my kitchen mess. You guys are the best and your comments are very comforting. Many of you have been in similar situations as mine. The good news is as the workmen said "you'll have a kitchen sink again, if we can find it"...hahaha isn't he the funny one...the not so good news is I'm looking at a thick layer of dust covering absolutely everything everywhere in the house. The workmen have done an awesome job and I'm relieved to know the house is in much better shape with all the extra work, it felt like the house was being rebuilt from the inside out, I think the worst is finally over.

Some really surprising and fantastic news this week came from Karen at Quilts A Lot (boy did I need this surprise, it made all the disasters not so bad) she had a give-away and I WON!! I can't believe it, I'm so excited, soon a package of Jo's fabrics will be coming to my mailbox....woohoo....and the only thing better than fabric is chocolate. Thanks Karen you made my week!!!

Happy Quilting, until next time.

We did a remodel over the summer, and one thing a friend recommended to me was that I vacuum my WALLS with a brush attachment before moving our furniture back in to the rooms. It was amazing how much stuff had settled on there and I wouldn't have thought about dust on the walls! I also wiped them down with a broom that I had wrapped a towel around. I remember thinking it was so daunting....my entire house filled with mess...but the dust really does settle eventually! :) Hang in there!

Your little package looks like a good one. Especially the chocolate! :) I hear those gloves make a big difference when machine quilting.

Sorry about your kitchen troubles at least now you know your kitchen will be even better than you anticipated. Hope it gets back to usable shape soon, and that the kitchen sink is found. Congrats on your prize.

Why is it that small projects always lead to bigger ones and bigger ones???

Glad that you won the giveaway as it does make the picture much more rosy!

Hope by now that everything is once again operational, Wendy. I'll bet that chocolate cheered you up a bit! (Along with the fabric, of course...)

Trust me . . . . don't fuss with that dust! You'll just end up cleaning it again and again and again. If everyone keeps their hands in their pockets and leaves no prints on things, you'll not notice it nearly so much *s* Hang in there!
