Sew Along's

I've quilted the Pam Buda sew along quilt from last fall. Just working on the binding. These blocks are all HST's. So easy and fun.
I can't believe I got these blocks finished. I'm going to add a border to have it big enough for my queen bed. After all that work, I'm putting this on my bed. This was in the Feb 2014 issue of American Patchwork and Quilting.

Happy Quilting!

Le Jardin

It's been a long time working on these blocks. I loved every minute, almost sad I won't be working on the bunnies, baskets, flowers and pretty things. It's the French General fabrics that really make this quilt. The borders still need to go on and then how to quilt this one. I've never hand quilted but looking at this quilt gives me the urge to start. Haven't made up my mind.

Happy Quilting.

BOM

I'm making progress on the newest (to me) Bunnyhill BOM called Woodland Christmas. I've really been enjoying these blocks and doing the back basting method of applique. This is a BOM at the quilt shop where I work but not for long. The shop is going to close by the end of June. I'm so sad to loose such a wonderful local shop, we don't have many left in our area anymore. Visit this post to get a glimpse of Creative Edge in North Vancouver.
This block is missing a few details, raccoon needs his eyes, the tree farm sign stitched and the bears tail.
The little hedge hogs were a bit fiddly and so many windows to stitch. The doors are missing the knobs.

I'm so thrilled the group that has been working on this BOM with me still wants to meet after the shop closes. We'll have to switch between houses to make this happen. I really want to keep this group together, we've had so much fun together.

Take care and support your local quilt shop.

Doll Quilt swap

I participated in Humble Quilts Doll Quilt Swap recently. This is the pink and brown doll quilt I received from Mary G. She did a lovely big stitch quilting, I love how it looks and the pink and brown is one of my favourite combinations.
This is the doll quilt I sent Mary C., it was fun to participate in this swap. It wasn't the usual one on one swap but instead it was a surprise who I would be getting a quilt from. I love doing these swaps! Thanks Lori for organizing.

Happy Quilting.
