Pom Pom de Paris

Quilt top is finished. I used 3 charm packs and white yardage, I also needed to add a bit more red because the charm packs didn't have enough. These blocks are all done by making a square in a square block. The quilt came out to 56"x65, a nice lap size.

The painters have been sanding for 2 days now, it sounds like a swarm of bees around the house with all the sanders outside. And with all the dust I can't keep the windows open in this warm weather. I'm hoping the quiet painting will start soon.

Happy Quilting!

Love your quilt too! Perfect colors. We've had house painters too~ when they cover all the windows, it really feels strange! Have a great day!

Gorgeous fabrics in that quilt; very pretty. I still remember the noise here when our new roof went on. Hope the sanding stops soon.

Turned out wonderfully! Just keep remembering that YOU don't have to do the work on the house. Dear Hubby and I painted our 2-story ourselves 3 years ago. . .never again!

Your Quilt is beautiful. I would love to create a similar quilt as it would be a good way of making another scrap quilt. Can you tell me the size of the centre square and then the size of the squares needed to make the outer triangles please?
Just beautiful!
Happy stitching

I love this pattern and your colors are perfect!
We are having our half log siding stripped and painted, so no open windows here either.

Love it! It's an optical illusion...I saw stars when I first looked at it, and then when you said it was all square in a square blocks...I could only see it when I tilted my head...how cool!

Oh, it's very sweet. I've always liked yellow and red together and the touch of pink is perfection.

I never do well with square in a square blocks. But I am thinking you made hour glass blocks and it created the look of square in a square. Nicely done.

That is so pretty Wendy! I love the colors. Wear a headset with some music so you won't have to listen to the sanding. It will make you crazy!!
