BOM

I'm making progress on the newest (to me) Bunnyhill BOM called Woodland Christmas. I've really been enjoying these blocks and doing the back basting method of applique. This is a BOM at the quilt shop where I work but not for long. The shop is going to close by the end of June. I'm so sad to loose such a wonderful local shop, we don't have many left in our area anymore. Visit this post to get a glimpse of Creative Edge in North Vancouver.
This block is missing a few details, raccoon needs his eyes, the tree farm sign stitched and the bears tail.
The little hedge hogs were a bit fiddly and so many windows to stitch. The doors are missing the knobs.

I'm so thrilled the group that has been working on this BOM with me still wants to meet after the shop closes. We'll have to switch between houses to make this happen. I really want to keep this group together, we've had so much fun together.

Take care and support your local quilt shop.

Sad about your shop closing and too loss of meeting up with great customers there. I miss my days of working in a shop. Also my favorite shop here closed years ago so I scour Internet. It's a real treat to walk into a good brick and mortar.

So sad to see another shop close. Too much internet shopping and those inticing American prices. Your BOM blocks are beautiful! Very cool that your group wants to stick together :0)

That is soooo gorgeous Wendy! I loved making Henrietta Whiskers and wouldn't mind doing this one too. Do you mean "reverse applique"? Those hedgehogs are so cute as is the racoon. You have done a fantastic job so far.
