Jo's Little Women and New Sheep BOM

This week I started a new BOM, it's from Buttermilk Basin and each block has a sheep on it. I decided to start with the pumpkin block because there is a lot of talk about fall in the bloglines and this would be a good chance to be way ahead for once...LOL Look over at Crazy for Primitive Quilts and Gardens, she has been working on these blocks for a while now and how quite a few already done. I'm having so much fun with these because they are fast to complete.
I finished the top for my Autum Song quilt which I started at the Jo Morton class in July. You'll find this quilt in Jo Morton's new book, it's really a nice book with lots of eye candy. There are 100 of the fussy cut stars in this quilt.
My Jo's club met last week, yes I'm way behind in posting these pictures. I'm still painting the front steps, we've had a few days of rain which means I have to wait until it's dry to paint, it would be better if I could just get it all done, rather than dragging on like this. The steps are looking beautiful with the purple.
Isn't this a sweet little quilt, I don't remember how big it is. Our next Jo's quilt we'll be using the left over triangles to make this little quilt.

There are a few emails that are showing up as "no reply email" and I've had a couple of questions. It would be easier if I could reply directly rather than relying on me to remember to post the answer here. Sorry if I've missed answering a question, I don't do that on purpose....the memory doesn't always work...LOL

Mary: The Polka Dot Girls I believe you can buy them separately but you would have to contact the quilt shop to inquire.

Carrie P: Regarding the applique bird quilt in the last post, sorry I don't know the designer but I will try and find out.

Lovely, lovely, lovely! Such beautiful work! I just love your quilt! And that BOM, if I wasn't already overwhelmed with projects, I'd jump on it! Cute! While you've had rain, we've had sun for a change. What a wet summer it has been. A haven for mosquitos! Keep well!

Hello Wendy,
I am so glad to see you posted from our JLW Club. I sure missed out this month.
Your Autumn Song Quilt is beautiful.
You have been busy.

You should try making a Tarp tent for painting the porch steps. That's what hubby and I did when we painted ours. The neighbors were very curious and wondering what we were doing under there, until we took the tent down. It was a fun project. We laughed so hard our ribs were hurting.

Hope to see you next month.

Have fun creating.

Hugs,
Karen

I love being able to see your Jo Morton group quilts and especially because your obviously ahead of the club I'm in. They are simply gorgeous. The star Jo quilt is just fantastic and the border fabric just makes it sparkle! I haven't found those stars in the quilt shop here....is it one of Jo's older prints or new because of the book? Unsure if I would have a chance to make that...but would want that fabric in the stash just in case. You know how that goes! Have a great day! Wish you luck in getting your painting finished. We did manage to get my son #1 (the one that went to college) painted. Glad that job is over.

I have some of those sheep patterns. What are you going to do with them? Make a quilt or something with the individual blocks. The Jo's quilt is scrumptious. My kinda colors!

The Little Women quilts are so gorgeous. I wish I could find a quilt shop around that would host the club.

Oh well, maybe someday.

Your bew BOM stitchery is adorable and looks like fun to do. Now that quilt sister is beautiful - you did a great job on it, I'm sure fussy cutting 100 stars wasn't a lot of fun. Love the line up of the Jo's quilts and the new one coming up is a sweet one as well. Hope it's dried up a bit so you can finish those stairs.

Hugs - Karen

I've checked all my local quilt shops for that Jo Morton star fabric you used in your quilt, and NO ONE has it! Do you know of a place I can buy it online?

I first saw the sheep BOM over at Colleen's blog and I told her I was very tempted. I've never worked with wool applique, yet! I enjoy reading your blog (since I discovered blogland earlier this year) with all the great pics you show. Hugs from MB
