Lazy Summer Days

Since sewing has almost come to a screeching halt with the warm days of summer upon us, I thought I would share what I have been doing, working in the garden. I love puttering around in the garden, planting, finding just the right spot for each plant and just plain enjoying a pretty backyard. Here are a few pictures I took around my garden today. Oops I don't have any flower pictures here....next time.
I did say almost no sewing...a couple of things I was playing around with last week. A applique table topper done in bright colours and a fabric collage inspired by this amazing designer.

Have a great day, next time I'll have a quilt ready to show....woohoo a flimsy out of the closet....finally.

So lovely Wendy! The garden looks fabulous too! I simply love hosta leaves...I filled a dark corner of my Mom's yard with them and they came back every year big and lush!

I love the collage - so cute with the little quilt blocks and photo. What a wonderful, creative thing. The table topper is beautiful - lovely applique on it.

I love that fabric collage. I saw her work at the Buggy Barn last summer in person and it was all amazing. Yours looks wonderful and your table topper - to cute. I think it's OK to not be stitching so much in the summer - the garden calls you and you should listen, lol. After all those dang snowflakes will be returning before we know it.

hugs - Karen

See, there has been some sewing! Love the table topper. And are those Moda butter yellow dots on that picture -- I LOVE those dots -- if only I could find them for sale somewhere!!!

Your garden collage looks lovely _ I'm sure it's nicer outside in the sun than in the sewing room this time of year..

Loved a collage of photos from the garden. I'm curious what you have in the works on the quilt front. I'm finally back home and now time to play quilt catch up!
