Decorating

Everything is working again...Thanks to my DH, I can now upload my pictures. The candy canes looked a bit lonely when I saw this picture so I added some rusty bells after taking the picture. The tree is all decorated as well, now I just need to get some energy to get out there and do some shopping.
It's hard to see from this picture but the flying snowman is scattering snowflakes in the wind or I guess he could be collecting them, not sure which. There are beads on the snowflakes, I don't know if you can see that (click on the picture). This Crabapple Hill pattern was fun to stitch, I can't say the same about the shoo-fly blocks, they were very fiddly.
A close up of the snowman with a bag of snowflakes sparkling in the wind.

I did this punchneedle snowman a couple of years ago, he's attached to a wool pocket filled with greenery and a rusty wire hanger. A few bloggers were asking the question "what do you collect?" well I collect snowmen, anyone else?

Thanks for the visit, have a great day.

Aren't snowmaen the best thing to collect? You can leave them out just a little longer than the standard Christmas ornament or for the whole season too! I just love crabapple Hill stitcheries. I have quite a few patterns but have yet to make one. Isn't that bad? I have never seen the snowman one before, it looks great!

Beautiful snowmen Wendy! I used to collect them, but I fear my collection has sort of fallen apart. I LOVE that Crabapple Hill pattern!

I am always so jealous of the things you make and decorating. Those candy canes are just too cute! And I love the snowman. The beads are awesome! I have to get back to my redwork quilt!

Love your decorations.
Your punchneedle is great. Great way to use it, a pocket. Sometimes I wonder how I can use my punchneedle differently and this is a great way.

Yes, I guess you would call me a snowman collector also. But I am trying not to add any more to my collections - no room to store them. Yours are lovely.

Great stuff Wendy. I especially love the snowman sprinkling the snow flakes. Hope he does the big fluffy ones tomorrow and then stops.
