Flower Sugar Quilt

Flower Sugar quilt is officially now a flimsy. I think the piano key border took me as long as piecing the top. I'm very happy with how it turned out, not as much contrast as I hoped but it's the fabrics we love anyway.... right? The binding will be the same red as the inner border. I used the pattern from Schnibbles book and the quit is the bigger version of the bow tie quilt called Bennington and it's 63x63. I bought 15 FQ's and 1 yard of the red and I'm only left with scraps, pretty good for not having a plan when I purchased the fabric.
The fall maple leaf runner is pieced and I'm hoping to have that quilt soon.
Have a good weekend.

The piano key borders are deceiving looking when it comes to thinking how long it will take to piece. A very sweet looking quilt.

A piano key border is time consuming, but worth the effort. Your's is cheery and bright.

Seriously I love it. I also really like that it doesn't have a lot of contrast. It looks older and loved...already!! Nice job!!
