Surprises

This week I received a very thoughtful gift from Darlene. We have shared a few block swaps over the 4 years I've been blogging. I meet Darlene almost immediately when I took the plunge and decided to blog, we hit it off right away and I've enjoyed many emails from her. I hope someday we'll have the opportunity to meet up face to face.

The wrapping  is so lovely, I wanted to enjoy it a little longer.

This wonderful banner was nicely tucked inside. Darlene you are the sweetest and I've enjoyed our friendship over the years. She knows me well and that the black will fit perfectly in my house. My sewing room looks awesome with this gorgeous banner.

Something else came in the same package. The latest book by Kim Scrap-Basket Sensations, I've even picked out some fabric to start a project. This was an extra special gift from Kim, Darlene, Mary and Karen, they all signed the book. Thank You ladies I will definitely enjoy using this book a lot.

I've finished my hexagon purse and just need to get a picture.
Enjoy your day and happy quilting.

I almost asked you the other day if you had received the book and then I thought I'd best not just in case it was a surprise...sure enough! Hugs dear friend...enjoy!! I thought it was nice of Darlene to suggest we all sign the book so it has made its arounds just for you! I don't know of anybody else that has a copy signed by all of us. Isn't Darlene the sweetest to gift the banner? I ordered another to gift another friend as well.

Your banner looks great Wendy. That's awesome that you got an autographed book. Guess what I did, I signed up for the Scrapbasket Sensations club at Fat Quarter Shop. There will be a quilt kit each quarter.

Thanks for taking the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and love learning more on this topic. If possible, as you gain expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more information? It is extremely helpful for me.
