Red and White Quilt

The plan was to have this quilt on my bed for the summer....well things happened and plans changed. My new plan is to have it ready for Valentines Day and then keep it on my bed for next summer. I haven't decided on the border yet. This is a free Moda Bake Shop pattern, I added 9 more blocks to make it big enough for a queen size, the outer border will be 5".

EDIT: I've had a few requests for the direct link to this pattern. It's called Charming Stars and can be found here.

The 5" squares are from a Red and White Swap I participated in last year. Karen organized everything so well. I loved recieving all the 5" squares that came from all over the world.

Happy Quilting!

That will be gorgeous when it's quilted. A great idea for five inch charm squares.

I am usually a red and cream type of gal, but I have to say that this quilt is beautiful and I agree it would make a lovely summer quilt....so bright and so fresh looking in its bright reds and white. Love it.

Be still my heart a beautiful red quilt with stars - does it get any better than that lol. It's so pretty Wendy - just light and fresh looking. Don't look at it being behind for summer - think I'm ready for Valentines day :).

I was just looking at this pattern in the bakeshop yesterday. Thinking about making it bigger. Can I ask what your finished top measured at?
