Fun with 4 Patches

I was having fun with the split 4 patch and can finally show the completed top. I love how it turned out bright and cheery.

This weekend I finished the binding on my Swoon quilt. I like doing binding but not when it's 380" to hand sew on a hot day. I'm so glad to have this quilt finished.

Here it is on my queen size bed. This quilt has a good amount of overhang on the bed. I haven't washed this quilt yet so I'm expecting a little bit of shrinkage still.

Most of the weekend was looking at this beautiful view. I love walking on the beach.

Summer Sewing

When I saw this organizer on Susan's blog here and here, I knew I had to make one for my sewing room. Now I'm thinking, I need a few more of these "Pocket to Go" organizers....I love it!. The pattern is by Atkinson Designs.

The weekend was very relaxing with a few walks on the beach and a little hand applique. I've had this top prepped for a long time, I made good progress this weekend.

Little Quilts

It's been very warm here, sometimes too hot for me. We now have an air conditioner in our bedroom. It's makes a big difference to get a good nights sleep. I feel so lazy in the heat and it's too hot in my sewing room. I spent a little time in the basement sewing these little quilts. They are easy and I can get away from the heat for a while.
