Le Jardin Another Block

Finished another block for Le Jardin quilt, I think this is the biggest block so far. At least it seemed to take me a long time to stitch. Haven't done any embellishment on these blocks, I'll wait until they are all done.
Started working on some of the Sew Along blocks. These are in the Feb 2014 issue of Better Homes and Garden Quilt Magazine. The blocks are super scrappy and take a fair bit of time for each block. Haven't decided yet how many of these I will make, the pattern shows 20 but I'm pretty sure mine will be less than that.

Happy Quilting.

The le Jardin block is beautiful!

I also love the sew along blocks and am going to have to have a go at this quilt.

Great blocks for the quilt-a-long, Wendy. I bought the book and have looked at the pattern. Probably won't make as many as the pattern calls for, but I do want to try a few. It's going to take awhile to pull all the fabric I think, but it's a wonderful looking quilt.

I love anything in French General. Your quilt is going to be beautiful. As for your other blocks, they look labor intensive, but I can see that you could get carried away and want to make quite a few of them, they are gorgeous. Happy Sewing.

Wendy, I love the scrappy blocks! You need to give me a lesson in fabric picking next time I see you. I have thought about trying this block a few times and that part always stumps me..Donna

Those blocks look wonderful. I saw on A Quilting Life blog that Sherry posted the other day how to make them quicker. Maybe check it out and make plenty for a good size quilt?

The Le Jardin block is so beautiful and your work is lovely. I don't think I would have the patience for the other one, too many small fiddly bits.Good on you for making it.

Love everything (as usual). I've been seeing that quilt along quilt everywhere. Isn't that the Burgoyne Surrounded pattern? I made one of those in the 90's. Have a great Saturday! Cheery wave from Bev

I love that quilt along but I haven't even started pulling fabrics for it. It may have to become a 2020 quilt. Love your fabics!

The le Jardin block is beautiful and your sew along blocks are looking great too. I'm considering doing the sew along, but have to find the magazine on line as I haven't found it on the stands in Australia. Then again, there's so many sew alongs I may miss this one and find another!
