Big "Thank You"

I want to say "Thank You" to ALL of you for the great comments on my mug dilemma. Thanks to all your ideas and suggestions (bloggers are the best) I was able to come up with this to embroider on the mug for Bernice. Yellow roses, I think is suitable for someone about to have a operation, I used a variegated green for the vine and leaves. I can't take credit for the design, I copied it from one of my Crabapple Hill patterns. It was a bit more work than I intended to do but it came out lovely.
Here is the pincushion I received from Miet in Belgium. You can't see the base but she has cleverly used a jar lid for the pincushion base, the lid is covered a a green fabric, very cute. She sent a whole pile of Belgium chocolates with the pincushion. Thank you Miet I will enjoy using my new pincushion and eating my goodies. Thanks for being a great swap partner!
Since Miet doesn't have her own blog, I thought this would be a good place to show you the pincushion I made for her.

The flowers on the mug are so pretty and delicate looking. Much better than just a plain mug :))

You do such lovely stitching. I know where to turn if I ever get up the nerve to take the leap!

I really, really like what you did to embellish the mug.

Both of the pincushions are so cute. I'm sure you will both enjoy them.

The mug is just perfect. What a treasure that will be, and a comfort I'm sure.

Now you will be addicted to Belgian chocolate! What will you do? LOL! The pincushion is cute as can be, and yours looks extremely attractive - nice setting. =)

Great gifts and the mug is simply beautiful. Please, please tell me where I can find the pattern for that strawberry basket stitchery that you used on the pin cushion... it's completely fantastic!

What lovely pincushions! So talented! I like you mug, works for me! I can't wait to get into hand embroidery. I feel I must bring down my number of hand projects before I take the plunge. It is beautiful though! Thanks for sharing!

The mug turned out just perfect, didn't it? Very nice! Those pincushions are beautiful. May I ask what pattern you used? My DIL LOVES strawberries, so I'm always on the look-out for strawberry patterns.
The chocolate looks yummy! Sewing energy, right?
