Scrappy Sew Along

Red and White quilt is washed and looking fresh for spring. Now if it would stop raining for more than a day or two. I sure hope spring is not far off!

Still working on these scrappy sewalong blocks. I'm getting tired of making them, it's taking all my will power to not put these away. I'm determined to get this quilt done.
I like the blocks and I know I'll really love the quilt when it's finished. Anyone else working on this quilt?

Happy Quilting.

Hi WendY!
Your red star quilt is STUNNING!!
I have bought the magazine to make the other quilt...I wondered if this would be a tedious quilt to make...now I know! BUT it will be worth it in the long run...Hang in there!

Beautiful red and white star quilt! And lovely blocks you are making! One block now and one then, and suddenly you have a new quilt!

Your red and white quilt looks fantastic on the bed. There is nothing worse than detesting a quilt you are working on. You have come so far now you may as well finish it. Deep breath, breathe in, breathe out.

Love the totally scrappy nature of your sew along blocks! And I completely understand how you could tire of them...very labor intensive blocks. Try one a month, because they are going to make a fabulous quilt.

I like your pretty quilt along blocks. I did the American Patchwork and Quilting quilt along, too, but mine are tan, red and blue. I got the blocks done - there really is a ton of sewing in them, isn't there? I think mine needs a border, though, so now it's in limbo for a while. I did use up a lot of scraps in it.

I love the Red and White quilt. I'd love to make one like that someday. I did get the magazine for that scrappy sew-along, but was too intimidated by it, so haven't started it. Congrats to you for doing it; your blocks are beautiful!

Wonderful red and white quilt... I'd snuggle under it any day!!!

I love your scrappy blocks... don't give up on them! (But it's refreshing to hear that other quilters go through the "low mojo" moments as well...)

I love the red and white star quilt you made, such a fun colour combination. Making the quilt with fabric from swaps makes it all the more special as well. Happy Easter
Hope you do get some sunshine!

Your quilts are beautiful! I know I've liked them over on Instagram too. I'm not working on that APQ quilt along, but I really like it and have the pattern. It's in my someday pile. Who knows, it may be the next quilt I start!

I really like your scrappy sewalong blocks!! I'm also doing the sewalong and I'm 3 blocks short of a quilt. (Kinda like 3 sandwiches short of a picnic?!?!) I've had to put them aside for a while because of the time involved (I'm getting burned out) and piece another quilt top. I know that I will come back and finish - because like you - I know I will love the finished quilt!!
