Welcome Sept

This quilt has been a flimsie for longer than I'd like to think about. It's Sept already and fall is just around the corner. I'm so happy to have this one quilted, bound and washed. I did free motion quilting and found the black on black the most difficult, it's not easy to see the black thread on black fabric.
The pattern is from Country Quilts book, At Home with Country Quilts.
Now I'm on to the Kim Diehl Simple Whatnots club, this is the center for the first little quilt in the club.

So excited it's Sept and we have cooler temperatures ahead.

Happy Quilting.

Love your quilt I have been wanting to make this one for a long time. The curved border looks to be a bit of a challenge though!

I hear you when you said doing FMQ on black is difficult! I just did this on a quilt too...and had to get a flashlight! #@%&* Yes, blue smoke was coming out of my sewing room!! But your hard work paid off..LOVE this quilt!!

Your basket quilt caught my eye. Very much my style of quilt. I like it very much.
I did not know there is a Kim Diehl club. Is it to be a series of blocks that go into one quilt?

Love the basket quilt! Enjoy the cooler weather. Hopefully, it will start to cool down here soon...like 2 months from now...LOL.

Your applique is so pretty! I love the baskets on that dark background too - both such lovely projects!

Just a lovely finish on your quilt--those corner appliqued baskets are lovely set like that! Beautiful! Hugs, Julierose

The basket quilt is VERY familiar. I know what you mean about quilting on black. Your quilt is very pretty!

I'm envious you are doing the What Nots! I love every one of those patterns! Are they through the shop you work at?

Pretty block you are working on too.

Love your quilt - such pretty colors. I hear ya about stitching on the black - I don't do machine quilting - but hand sewing on black especially at night is hard for this girl - I NEED light lol. Your block for the Kim Diehl quilt is so pretty. I wanted to join up in that club but held back - maybe the next round I might. I just love her designs.
Hugs - Karen
