Weekend Project

I spent most of the weekend prepping these Wool Garden Blocks, my new favourite sewing notion is Misty Fuse. Now I can start stitching without any pins to get in the way or worry about glue not sticking. The first 2 blocks pictured, I had previously finished, the next 10 I'll be stitching on the long flights coming up soon. The wool in these kits is outstanding and I'm enjoying making each one. Now to start packing!

Oh man, they are all so pretty! So tell me more about the misty fuse with your wool applique. I have some but never used it! And I would never have thought to use it on wool!

Beautiful blocks - I love the colors of the wool. What is misty fuse. If that would make wool applique quicker I'm all for it. It is like heat and bond light?

GOR-JUS!!!! Is that from one of the Blackbird Designs books? I am just starting into wool applique. It's so satisfying not to worry about turning the raw edges.

Okay, I have looked all over following the link you gave for a pattern for these wool blocks. They are precious! I'm not very internet savy I guess. Would you be willing to share more information about how to find these blocks? They look like so much fun, and I'm crazy about the colors of the wool. You are really doing a beautiful job too, and I can hardly wait to see the quilt all put together.

What a lovely quilt! That is gorgeous! Hum... you'll have to tell me what Misty Fuse is! Would you believe that I have 3 wool kits that I bought from the Quilted Crow and I still haven't started any of them! Cheers!

I have this kit sitting in a drawer. Your blocks are beautiful!!! I never thought of using Misty Fuse, what a great idea! The last wool project I did I used glue and the pieces would shift and even fall off. I am going to give this a try! Thanks!
