Bags and Flowers

Just a few of the many bags I use for various projects. Abyquilt has posted a challenge to show off your bags, a girl can never have too many.....right?. Oh I just realized I'm missing a picture, well that will have to be for another post. I use my bags for carrying stitchery, notions, applique and when I go on a trip I grab one for my toiletry bag.

The brown one at the top I use a lot for carrying my stitchery projects, it just might be my favourite. Abyquilt's post has inspired me to finish a project bag sitting around for a while and start working on a new one or two.

I just had to show off these gorgeous flowers given to me by a sweet friend. Thanks Linda, these have brightened my week so much.

How many bags do you have? I know I'm missing a few from these pictures.

Vintage Market and Winner

I squeezed in a Vintage Market with a friend on the weekend. It was amazing and MORE. I bought this little ladder which I'm so happy to have. There are a few other fantastic finds I'll show in another post. I met a couple blogging friends Cheryl and Kim, they booth had booths selling some neat items. You can see some booth pictures of the Vintage Market on Cheryl's blog. I was too busy buying stuff to think about pictures, and everything was selling so fast I didn't have time. Cheryl's husband made my day when he drew my name from the hat for a gift certificate....I couldn't believe I was so lucky.

Enjoy your day.

Little Quilt Finished

I almost forgot to show this little quilt I made a few weeks ago. It was for a quilt challenge using Martha Stewart colours. I won't go into any details except the pinwheels are finished at 2".  That was a lot of HST's to make, over 100 in a quilt this small.

I'm happy with how it turned out with the red, green and a little touch of brown colour combination.

Happy Quilting.

Quilt Show

The local guild quilt show was this past weekend. It was a short visit for me because I had worked all day and got to the show near the end. But it was worth it, I'll start with the BEST merchants booth at the show. Creative Edge is a local quilt shop and Maureen did a fantastic display in her booth. I know how hard she worked and what a terrific display she had done.

Another view of how creative Maureen is displaying all the kits and samples.

If you see anything you like, send me an email and I'll be happy to give you the shop phone number.

This girl had used her grandmothers stash found in the attic for the rings. I love it!

This quilt is a work of art, all pieced, it's so incredible to see in person.

I believe this is the same designer as the cardinal above.

London Underground, very creative.

Whimsical tea pots.

Just beautiful.

Makes me want to visit the country side.

Cute little bird on a branch.

I just think this quilt is fun. I hope you enjoyed seeing a sampling of quilts from the show.

Happy Quilting.

Dresden Top

Dresden Scrappy Plate top is now finished. I should have pressed it before taking these pictures but you get the idea. I'm happy with how this one turned out. It's definitely going to live at my house.

I have lots (well not a huge amount) of the blade fabric leftover. Don't know what will be made with it just yet, maybe sit in my stash for a little while.

Happy Quilting!
