Awards and Jo's Club

I've been very slow to acknowledge these awards. I can't believe it, two in one week. Melissa was so kind to award me the Primitive Excellence Award, thanks so much I really appreciate you thinking of me. I just discovered Melissa's blog and love it. I'm suppose to name 7 more bloggers to give this award. There are so many deserving bloggers I can't name only 7, I'm going to take the easy way out and say that anyone reading my blog please consider yourself awarded.
And then in the same week Ruth has giving me the Kreativ Blogger award. I'm very touched by both of these. Ruth is also a new blog to me, she is working on the Polka Dot Girls as well, I love seeing them on her blog. Thanks so much to both of you. The rules say I must nominate 5 bloggers, again I will take the easy route and if you read my blog then you are also deserving of such an award.

I can't finish a post without something quilty to show. My last Jo's club meeting was this week. I knew I wasn't going to have enough time to make the big version. Mine is the much much smaller one. It's very funny only 2 of us finished the project in time for the meeting and if you bring your finished quilt, a name is drawn to win a FQ. Well I had a darn good chance of winning this time.....you guessed it....I won a FQ.

I've been tagged by Katherine to write 6 random things about myself, I haven't forgotten. I'll save this for another post.

Sewing Annie and Awards

Do you see what I see....little bits of hair sticking out from behind the tissue????
Here she is Raggedy Old Annie ready for any sewing task. She has her sewing kit Handy with needle, thread and thimble ready for sewing, quilting or stitching. I can't believe I have my very own Annie, do you see what's on her dress, my initial, there will be no doubt who she belongs too. As Carole said, my heart feels warm and fussy with how kind and generous quilters are in blogland. I've formed live long friendships who I might have the opportunity to meet someday. Darlene and I have been swapping nine patches for a number of months now, we each will seek in little goodies as surprise gifts....teehee....it's so much fun. Well the biggest surprise came from Darlene, she went and ordered this Sewing Annie just for me. I'm so very touched by her generosity and thinking of me on my Birthday....see I can stretch my Birthday out for the whole month. Thank you Darlene....I will think of you while enjoying Sewing Annie sitting next to my computer. Oh one more thing....A little birdie told me Sewing Annie has a twin with a different initial on her dress....Hmmm who could that be....*vbs*
There are more kind and thoughtful bloggers out there. Gizmo has award me the "Spreader of Love" award. Thank you Gizmo for thinking of me. I feel very blessed with your friendship.
And then Tamara gave me the "You Make My Day" award. Thanks for making my day with this award.

The rules for the "You Make My Day" award, are to re-present it to 10 people whose blogs bring you happiness and inspiration and make you feel happy about blogland. Let them know through an email or posting to their blog so they can pass it on. You may get the award more than once, so if you do, consider yourself very loved! So pass it on!!!

There are so many to choose from I couldn't possibly name only 10. So if you read my blog regularly consider yourself on my list of people "Who Make my Day"!!! And so pass the love on!!!

Happy Stitching.

Make My Day

I'm very excited to tell you Christine (Auntie's Quaint Quilts) has nominated me for "Make My Day Award". It is so sweet of her to think of me. I feel very honored when someone is so thoughtful. I have to say all you bloggers make my day with sharing all your talents, ideas and projects. I can't say it enough how much inspiration I get from fellow bloggers. Consider yourself awarded "Make My Day" and play along if you choose.

Wow what a great response to my question on which came first the pattern or the fabric. It's seems the most part it works both ways. We buy fabric because we fell in love with it and often a pattern is calling out "pick me". I think for me it's the attraction of the fabrics used in the pattern. I fall in love with the combination of fabrics and want to make that same quilt. I need to work on picking fabrics from my own stash and then augment if needed. The best part is that we all enjoy our fabrics by touching, rearranging and using that special piece in a quilt.
