Machine Quilting

It's been awhile since I've been able to post. My husband thought it was a good idea to remove the tool that allows me to upload pictures. He said it made the computer faster by removing it, well the whole exercise had slowed me down. Anyway all is fixed again. I've finished a little Schnibbles quilt called "Little Red", mine doesn't look anything like the pattern, the fabrics are from the Moda's Patisserie line. I used one charm pack with some extra yardage. I machine quilted this on my home machine.
Here is the quilt from my last post all quilted and bound. I rented time on a long-arm machine here. It's been a really good learning experience working with the long-arm. Lee the shop owner is very helpful when I needed her to step in to keep my on track. There are many steps to follow to get a quilt done. I certainly want to do more.

The detail of the quilting on the back, it's an edge to edge design. I used flannel because it's soft to snuggle now that we are getting into the fall.

I'm still working on my Christmas stitcheries....all eight little reindeer are going to take me a while to stitch.

Hi Wendy

You've done a great job with the quilting on the long arm. I tried playing around with a long arm once and it was really REALLY hard. It would take so much practice for me to do anything good on one. Congratulations for doing such a good job!!

Lots of pretties on your posts. I caught up with my reading here and must say, I absolutely love that Christmas BOM. Your long arm quilting looks very nice too - was that your first time to use a long arm? Its looks professionally done to me.

Nice job, Wendy. I have an HQ-16 and agree that learning this is a challenge (and most humbling), so am impressed with your quilting. The "Little Red" color choices are divine!

Love the quilts and the quilting! There is a shop in McMinnville, OR that teaches people how to use the long arm quilter & rents time out. I'm hoping to use it someday (if/when we move to OR).

Your star quilt is beautiful. You must be so proud to have it all done.
I wish I could quilt on my little machine, but it is too old and not equipped for that kind of sewing. You did a beautiful job on the little one too. Congratulations for all your hard work.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs,
Karen

Don't you just love when they decide to "help" us out? Last time hubby wiped out everything on our computer when he "helped" me.

Both quilts turned out lovely! Great job!

I love both of these. The long arm quilting looks great. Nice job. I don't know if I'll ever try it. Too intimidating for me.

Get job on the quilting. I love the little red.
Don't you just love it when hubbies do things to make life easier without asking if that’s what we would like first? This is one of the reasons I got my own laptop a few years ago.

I have the Schnibbles Little Red pattern but haven't made the quilt yet. Yours makes me want to want to finally make it too. I'll let you know if I get around to it. Right now I'm getting ready to make the Schnibbles X Rated quilt.

Very nice quilts. And you did a great job on the quilting. I just found out that one of our quilt shops is renting a machine to those that want to do it themselves. I might have to give it a try.
