HOT HOT....it's been too hot here....I'm not complaining, we've waited a long time for this warm weather but still it could be a little less hot.
With all this heat I'm not feeling too much like being in my sewing room. I did manage to make this vinyl pouch to teach a class last weekend. It's my own pattern (well if you could call it that) I didn't write any instructions. The girls loved making this and it has many uses for carrying all kinds of sewing stuff ie: notions, stitchery or use as a toiletry bag. If you'd like the cutting dimensions I would be happy to send along, just keep in mind there will not be any written instructions.
Edited to add cutting instructions.

That is so cute, Wendy. I'd love the cutting dimensions - maybe it's one I can make. LOL I love the Quilter pull tag, too.
I LOVE your bag! I picked up a bit of the clear vinyl on our holiday this past week and can't wait to cut into it... I'd love to see a tutorial or pattern if you're interested in writing one up! You should talk to Moda Bake Shop about it :o) It's a beautiful little bag!
Just adorable, Wendy! It's been a little cooler than usual here but we have a/c all the time from May until late September .... mainly for the humidity. But little cooler in the mid-80's F is still too warm for me! Think I'd be used to it by now ....
Lovely pouch. So nice to bring your stithery around in it :)
So cute!! I'd love it if you could share the dimensions. Although I am a little unsure of sewing the vinyl, but I think it would be fun to try!
Very cute Wendy! One can never have too many bags right??
Nice job!! Love those fabrics.

What a great idea. Thank you so much for sharing.
Wendy...I love your bag! I can see lots of uses for it. I would be most interested in the dimensions...and any hints for working with vinyl. Thanks so much!
Love it Wendy!!! I would love the cutting dimensions!! Great fabrics you used.
Another request for the cutting dimensions! Great idea for Christmas gifts for my quilting buddies! Good way to use fabric leftovers!
Love, love, love the bag! I like your choice of colors and the details. I would like to see a pattern or some kind of a tutorial on this bag. I can see making several one for each project that I have in the works. Is the plastic hard tosew on? Thanks for sharing.
Enjoy your day,
Leanne
I agree. Write a tutorial and submit it to Moda Bakeshop. It really is wonderful and I could use several of these bags myself. =D
Please add the dimensions to your post and any tips on sewing with vinyl. Love it and the smaller ones you showed recently. Thanks.
Hi Wendy, I recently posted on my blog how I like to use the clear plastic packaging you get when you buy pillowcases as it's so handy to see your project, pattern etc when you're on the move - however your bag is soooo much prettier. BTW what is the gorgeous looking stitchery inside?
Great bag, would really appreciate the dimensions if it's not too much trouble.
Thanks, Selina
Cute bag! I'd love the measurements.
What a ckever idea. I too would love to have the directions. Thanks.
I agree with everyone, this is a fabulous bag. I'd also love the dimensions you used.
I have a crazy cat who "hunts" my knitting, this would be perfect for both my knitting and other stitching projects.
great idea for a bag!
Please send me your cutting info for making this darling bag - it's just perfect for containing all the small bits of an appliqué project!
Thanks
Hi Wendy, I have a question about the clear bag. I managed to get it together and even "boxed" the bottom. It looks pretty good but since I had it inside out to finish the side seams and bottom and then I turned it inside out. Now I have ugly marks and creases in my vinyl. Is there a special trick? Please offer some tips. I did the zipper part first. Then I attached the vinyl to the bottom strips. Next, I sewed the vinyl to the top by inserting the vinyl between the fabric strips that had been folded in about 1/4". I topstitched that seam. Turned it inside out and did the side seams and bottom. All went well until I turned it inside out. Looks good otherwise. Thanks!!
Hope you had awonderful Thanksgiving. The quilts you've shown recently look wonderful as does this charming project bag. I would love to get the dimensions for your vinyl bag. Thanks!
Jane
Please send the cutting directions. An are the two sides of the plastic just sew together?
Hi there. I've just found your blog and love the vinyl bag. I'd love to know how you did it. My mom is always storing things in bags and boxes that are not see-thru so this would be a much better way to keep up with things.
I would be very grateful if you could send along your dimensions. I'm most interested in learning if there is a trick to sewing with vinyl! Thanks, karen
I would love to make a project bag for embroidery and crochet projects! If you have time, I'd love the cutting info and any info you can share! Thank you!
Hey great post. I have to learn many things from this position. Thank you for sharing.
